In my second year of university, I began to study motion graphics and Adobe AfterEffects for the first time. This project set the task of creating a title sequence to a show / book / story that we got to choose ourselves. Being a big fan of the books, I created a title sequence based on the Jack Reacher novels. My main source of inspiration for this animation was the title sequence to HBO's True Detective. Growing up, the True Detective series was my favourite show and I thought that the gritty and dark design could be nicely translated across to represent Jack Reacher as the novels are known to be dark and gritty too.
